FARMBELLY FALL CSA

The team at Farmbelly loves offering a weekly box of the very best organically-grown vegetable + culinary goodness for your tables! Our Fall 2021 CSA is SOLD OUT – thanks for your support!

Our Fall 2021 CSA session will run for 12 weeks, starting the week of September 6th and running through the week of November 29th (skipping the week of Thanksgiving). CSAs are an incredible way to support your local farmer, as it's a season-long commitment to sharing in the rewards (and the risks) that come with small-scale, diversified growing.

WHAT’S INCLUDED IN THE FARMBELLY FALL CSA:

  • A weekly box of super fresh and nourishing vegetables and herbs straight from our farm (see more about different share sizes below).

    • Throughout our fall session, you can expect to receive a bounty of the following vegetables in your shares: late summer favorites like tomatoes, peppers, eggplant, and okra, along with fall staples like winter squash, kale, cabbage, broccoli, collard greens, beets, carrots, radishes, turnips, greens, and a variety of fresh herbs. Throughout the season, shares will also occasionally include small batch Farmbelly culinary products like our seasonal herb salts and dried tea blends, and local honey from our friends at Bee Wise Hives.

  • A weekly email with details about the contents of your share and lots of recipe + culinary inspiration, as well as tips on how to properly store your produce to make it last as long as possible.

  • Membership to the Farmbelly Club and invitations to CSA-member only events at the farm!

CSA SHARE SIZES:

To better serve you, we’re offering two different CSA share sizes – please note that both share sizes will be delivered every week for 12 weeks (skipping the week of Thanksgiving):

  • FULL SHARE – Our full share includes 6-8 seasonal produce items, and will also include occasional small-batch Farmbelly culinary products like herb salts, tea blends, and local honey. This size is recommended for households of 1-4 people who like to eat their veggies! You may also consider splitting a full share with a friend, family member, or co-worker. Full shares are valued at $30 per week (total of $360 for the 12-week session, paid in full when you sign up. Payment plans are available, just send me an email and we will figure out a plan that works for you). You will also have the option of adding a dozen eggs to your weekly share.

  • SMALL SHARE – Our small share includes 5-6 seasonal produce items, in smaller quantities than our full share. This size is recommended for 1-2 people / small households who don’t cook as often. Small shares are valued at $18 per week (total of $216 for the 12-week session, paid in full when you sign up. Payment plans are available, just send me an email and we will figure out a plan that works for you). You will also have the option of adding a dozen eggs to your weekly share.

PICK UP OPTIONS:

  • For our Fall 2021 CSA session, we will be reducing the number of CSA pick up days and locations while Farmer Michelle is on maternity leave! All pickups for the Fall CSA will be on Thursdays at Farmbelly HQ between 2pm-7pm. Thanks for your understanding in this season – we look forward to adding back additional pickup days + locations in Spring 2022.

CSA FAQS

  • What does CSA mean? CSA stands for “Community Supported Agriculture” and is a model pioneered by Dr. Booker T. Whatley, who was an African American horticulturist, author, and Tuskegee University Professor of Agriculture. In a CSA, community members support small farmers throughout the growing season, sharing in the risks and rewards of growing good food, and helps bring people closer to where their food comes from!

  • Is Farmbelly organic? We grow our produce using 100% organic practices, however we are not Certified Organic by the USDA. If you have any specific questions about our growing practices, don’t hesitate to get in touch.

  • What if I can’t pick up my share one week? If you know you are going to be unable to pick up your share, we encourage you to have a friend, family member, or co-worker take your share. If no one else is available to pick up your share, just let us know and we will donate it to our local food pantry, SAFE.

  • What are the dates for the Fall CSA? Our Fall 2021 CSA session will run for 12 weeks, starting the week of September 6th and running through the week of November 29th (skipping the week of Thanksgiving).
