CSA FAQs
What does CSA mean? CSA stands for “Community Supported Agriculture” and is a model pioneered by Dr. Booker T. Whatley, who was an African American horticulturist, author, and Tuskegee University Professor of Agriculture. In a CSA, community members support small farmers throughout the growing season, sharing in the risks and rewards of growing good food, and helps bring people closer to where their food comes from!
Is Farmbelly organic? While we are not Certified Organic by the USDA (due to financial/logistical barriers at this time), we grow our produce using 100% organic practices.
What are the dates of the Summer CSA session again? The Summer CSA will run for 10 weeks, starting the week of June 6th through the week of August 8th.
What if I can’t pick up my share one week? If you know you are going to be unable to pick up your share, we encourage you to have a friend, family member, or co-worker take your share. If no one else is available to pick up your share, just let us know and we will donate it to a family in need.
What if I’m not satisfied and want to stop my CSA share? While we will happily work through any issues you may be having, if for whatever reason you need to stop your CSA membership mid-season, we will offer a full refund on a pro-rated basis.
My desire share is sold out. Is there a waitlist? Yes! If your desired share is sold out, please add your name to the waitlist here. We will offer any additional spots that open up in the order in which they are received on the waitlist.
